Being both blind and deaf Helen Keller certainly is the person who can justify her statements with reality of personal life. What she could not smell, touch ie ‘feel’ or in her heart was not conveyed yet she was able to enjoy life in the FULLEST possible way, including her spiritual life. Thank you for the post.

Helen Keller suffered for years deaf and dumb but her heart saw much of life Im sure. I find that hard to do as not attuned to it. I see what I see and find it all lovely

I have found that Helen Keller was one of the most amazing people ever born. She was born here in my home state of Alabama. The Deaf and Blind school just 20 miles north of my home is named for her. I had the privilege of doing my internship for my Counseling degree at the school. The programs there speak for themselves. Much of the surrounding areas cater to the needs of the children. There is an equestrian center where they can feel the experience of riding a horse. Many businesses support their programs that include a band, a football team, and track and field. They have excellent trade programs and life skills classes. Ms. Keller’s wisdom lives on in the educational program in Talladega, Alabama.
