    1. Baggage is heavy and it is good to be rid of it, but for God to forgive you you must first repent. It is a circle our Lord has devised in order to help us all to learn and as scripture says love an forgive others so that others will love an forgive us. The reward is then that God forgives us. Thanks for coming by.

  1. Kt so right we carry all on our back and it becomes our tomb. The spirit must have no weight so why pile it on the body. I ask for forgiveness as we must forgive those who trespass against me. It does not mean I will be happy letting real nasty people off but will not want to burden myself there after

    1. That is an interesting concept, but forgiveness is much more that that. It is God’s way of taking you back into fellowship with him. Yes, it is a relief to forgive others, but it is also giving you the incentive for others to forgive you; we all sin but don’t always recognize it when we have offended others;
      think about it and come back to see me.

  2. Forgiveness is the crowning achievement promised to us as gratitude for understanding that we have acknowledged our sin and want to achieve a greater life for Him. Gratitude for understanding indicates nothing more or less than “repentance”. Thank you Lord for this gift in order to be included in the mercy that is granted from you as a token of your love.
